Implementation of a B-ISDN/ATM connectionless data service in an Internet environment

چکیده
We specify and implement an efficient ATM data communications’ platform using a broadband connectionless protocol and ATM Adaptation Layer 5. The implementation is performed on a Telia Research ATM experimental network. One important design policy is to keep things “simple”, mainly in order to demonstrate that the introduction of ATM technology into LANs can be an evolutionary process that respects past, current and future investments in LAN technologies.
